The
Parrot's most recent visit to the studio resulted in the 12 track album
'The Swing Bridge'. There are plenty of Lincolnshire references,
including Skegness, Spalding's Flower Parade and Bourne's Raymond Mays,
founder of the BRM racing team. ![]() The Old Parrot Band’s CD ‘In Between The Dances’ comprises 14 original songs about Lincolnshire and beyond. Where else would you find songs dedicated to the Fenland climate, its village halls, a cork tree hundreds of miles from home, Ron Diggins, inventor of Britain’s first discothéque and the RAF’s World War 2 Lancaster bomber?
Many years ago, (well, it was 1988 actually) the band produced their first recording on, er, vinyl................well, we have been gigging since 1981!
If you ask us quietly, we might just part with one for a small fee |
